Sunderland Mind
by Marion Hutchinson - Wednesday, 19 May 2021, 3:51 pm

Our 18-25’s Wellbeing Group is running in person at Sunderland Mind Wellbeing Hub every Tuesday 5pm-6:30pm. Our aim is to build self-confidence, resilience, and develop life skills - all while strengthening people’s emotional wellbeing. The pandemic has brought on so many additional stresses and worries for young adults who are already undergoing huge life changes. The group acts as a safe space for people to explore their issues with the support of others undergoing similar experiences.

Most smokers would like to stop smoking but don’t know there are many ways they can do this or where to get help locally.

The Specialist Stop Smoking Service is offering (free), very brief advice training, for anyone whose work (paid or voluntary) brings them into contact with smokers who live or work in Sunderland.

The session lasts around 45 minutes and is via MS Teams.

It will enable attendees to raise the issue of smoking  in a positive way.

Attached is a flier which gives more information about the training, who it`s for, dates and how to book.
